Sorry, the theme was totally appropriate in the context of the show, so it gets a pass.

“The ‘Batgirl’ theme sounds like a dying record player inside a vacuum cleaner. Whose baby are you, Batgirl, Batgirl?”

That’s not true at all. Campaign donations by foreign entities are unequivocally illegal, and Citizens United didn’t change that. What did happen is that it’s easier to hide such money behind certain types of PACs, but that’s not what’s going on here.

Yes, buying political ads is a crime when done by foreign actors.

“there should be case studies on how they were able to flip an election with these highly targeted ads. “

This reminds me of when an overweight friend of mine was on Wheel of Fortune, and at one point in the game he had to make a choice and mentioned going with his gut. Sajak said, “If your gut is talking, I’m listening.”

No, sorry, if you enjoy Seinfeld you’re a terrible person because Michael Richards is a bad person. That’s where we’ve gotten to.

Linda Lavin’s rendition of the Alice theme got more stylized every year. Toward the end, I thought it became embarassing and showoff-ish.

Also “Angie”, another Garry Marshall show with an earworm of a theme by Maureen McGovern.

When True Blood premiered, I already had the theme song in my collection. It seemed odd to hear a somewhat obscure song I already had a copy of used on a TV show.

The first-season theme for Simon and Simon was far better than the later one mentioned here, IMO. A Mexican-sounding piece about brothers and friends, great for a show set in San Diego.

I didn’t go read the list, but if Chayefsky isn’t in the top 5 it’s garbage.

I didn’t say there was anything wrong with watching these shows. I said the problem was thinking that watching them accomplishes anything. If you already volunteer, great.

I’m glad you tried to become involved. I spent some time in Pennsylvania and found the party there is more machine-based and hard to get into than in other places. My group succeeded there by starting a Meetup group, which was a popular thing at the time. I hope you find a way to make a difference.

The way that you let people vote without gerrymandering or ID laws is to control the state houses. That’s part of my point.

This is one of my pet peeves. I’ve worked in local and state Democratic politics for a long time, and the number of people who want to complain but not actually do anything is shocking, and I’m sure a lot of them congregate here.

Brady does a great job, but my gripe with the new show is that they ruined the Big Deal. It was always played with 2 contestants, and the drama was after Monty opened the door nobody picked (assuming that wasn’t the Big Deal), then he would open the contestant’s door that wasn’t the Big Deal, and you’d see the

This is sad for me. One of the icons of my childhood. He was also good when he did The Odd Couple.

I don’t remember a tease. I think someone wants to use this show for a different purpose from the one the rest of us use it for,

I’m not a fan of the show, but it doesn’t have a laugh track. It’s shot in front of an audience.
