I think the bunny boiling is what made test audiences turn against Glenn Close's character. If she hadn't done that they would have probably been okay with the original ending where she commits suicide and frames Michael Douglas for her murder. Seriously. I think killing a cute pet animal was crossed a line for

I could not disagree more. The "code names" scene being one of my favorite moments on the show.

Ground him for good. I don't want to read about my childhood hero being responsible for the deaths of hundreds of innocent people.

It's pretty clear what's happening if you listen to Weird Al's "The Saga Begins".

So many great performances in I, CLAUDIUS but John Hurt's Caligula is incredible.

I loved NIGHT COURT as a kid and Dan Fielding was my favorite character. The arc where where he's called up by the army reserves, everyone thinks he died in a plane crash but he was rescued by eskimos is awesome. I always wondered why the last three seasons(7-9) were terrible until I read on Wikipedia recently that

Saying the prequels are bad? Whoa, really going against the tide there. Such a contrarian opinion.

THE LOONEY TUNES SHOW wasn't great but they made Lola funny(as voiced by Kristen Wiig):

I like the Beatles music and their comedy in A HARD DAY'S NIGHT. Though it was only recently when I heard this 1962 recording of them in Hamburg(with new drummer Ringo) that I realized they recorded their own songs I think the Beatles were probably one of the best cover bands of all time:

Here are some favorite Graham Norton clips:

The movie blew my mind when I first saw it on video in the mid-90s. It was almost too much for me on first viewing. The opening tea house scene, the warehouse scene in the middle and finally that third act in the hospital and that incredible tracking shot. One of the all-time greats.

Rewatching it I loved it. I think because the characters *were* so thin none really dominated, even Jyn who's supposed to be the main protagonist. It became a story about the Rebellion as a whole and everyone taking part is important to the mission of getting the plans and I liked that. It's like Oprah giving out cars

I love Joan's quote when she tried cocaine for the first time in the MAD MEN finale: "It's like someone gave me some very good news!"

Obviously the execution was imporant. Kershner wasn't just good with actors but he really spent time to make sure Yoda worked onscreen. Lucas would have tried to make it work in editing.

And people don't give him credit even for that "basic story idea" which is one of the main reasons Empire is a great movie. Fans say Empire is the best Star Wars movie because Lucas had the least involvement but he was the one who came up it's best which is the story. He could have just made another fun movie like the

" We all saw what Lucas delivered when he doesn't have financial constraints that force him to modify his original plans." Yes, he made The Empire Strikes Back.

She got fan backlash right after GOBLET OF FIRE(which admittedly was a creative high point). People were disappointed in THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX, because it was too long and Harry was an angry asshole. Then they didn't like that Dumbledore got killed off in HALF BLOOD PRINCE. They didn't like the camping scenes in

It's like he didn't want to do the same thing over again and wanted to try new things!

Look at the first two seasons of Star Trek The Next Generation and ask how the same man who made the original Star Trek series made that. Hell even Star Trek the Motion Picture with the same cast.

Those were concepts that evolved in the scriptwriting process. I don't recall reading about people having any input to get him to change. He probably realized for himself those ideas weren't filmable or practical at the time. If people are going to give Marcia Lucas main credit for Star Wars than they should give her
