That would be a really convincing story if Pokemon go was avaliable in China.

The game does tell you what direction the pokemon are in. It just doesnt explain how to do it very well. Select the pokemon you are searching for in the little menu then spin a circle holding your phone up. When you are pointing at it the boarder will flash and thats the direction you need to go.
