Overused... probably. Outdated... no. While it might be tempting to catalog it with box puzzles, key card mazes, and ... (looks for jason) JRPGs, Permadeath has made a pretty eloquent transition into modern gaming. Newish design philosophies like advanced procedural generation and razor sharp character progression…

BUT straw.... STOP GIVING MONEY AWAY. So says the soothsayers of Game journalism!!!
I Know. one is a real product and the other isn’t. Also all the sensationalism about the big bad publisher out to steal your lunch money.
(I fully support crowdfunding and helping a studio make their game. I’m just making fun of Kotaku here for telling us how to spend our money. Then they juxtapose it next to awesome new games that NEED to be “preordered” to be funded. Plunket is a dink.)
Stop pre oredering video games.
Different publisher different developer. no basis in your assumption.
Sure if your the kind of person who immediately judges another based on assumptions.
What is overwatchs?
All Dysney is doing is allowing them the incense. They really don’t incur any risk since they aren’t bank rolling the studio anymore.
Remember when the 64 only launched with Mario 64 and pilot wings? Thank god the internet didn’t exist back then ( it did though)
