And the police in that one had decided it was an accident and she wasn’t trying to kill him! I wouldn’t want to be in their shoes right now.

I remember an Off the Menu column where a bartender said he did that to a rude patron, and the commentariat was split about 50/50 between yeah! ha ha! diarrhea! and um, you fucking poisoned someone you psychopath.

Youre not drinking the whole bottle. That’s probably the difference.  The dose makes the poison....

Hahaha she is Carrie Fisher in Blues Brothers.

better book that ticket for two, binch, ‘cause I’m there with you

I think a lot of aspiring black widow/widowers fail to understand that life insurance policies of any considerable amount basically require them.

Was that what this gentleman’s face looked like before or after being poisoned?

I am a bigtime user of eyedrops, and the last time I picked up a bottle, the packaging had switched to a childproof cap (one of those push down, then twist varieties - looks exactly the same as the regular cap). I couldn’t get into it, and brought it to my spouse for help, totally befuzzled. Why the eff couldn’t I

An urban legend suggests that tetryzoline can cause violent diarrhea if given orally, such as by putting a few drops of Visine in an unsuspecting person’s beverage. However, the actual results of the prank may be worse, varying from severe nausea and vomiting to seizures or a coma. Diarrhea is not a side effect.[7]

Like someone else said on Twitter: Damn, I wish I was that headphone cord. Swooon!

My dad calls the assembly instructions you get for furniture and stuff “the rules.” It’s one of the million things I love about him. <3

Sauerkraut, you look like straw

this is far more charming than when my wife did it in our home.

I loved CRA. Great movie AND it really made me want to go to Singapore! The movie was pure travel porn for me. I’ve spent the past week researching a trip there, even though it’ll probably be years until I could make those plans happen. Apparently I’m not alone in that!

I saw that earlier this month. I agree it was both really funny but heavy handed in spots (and the 70s dialogue between the main character and his BSU girlfriend sounded really scripted and unnatural), but I was really impressed with Adam Driver’s performance. I was constantly worried he was about to be found out.

Saw BlacKkKlansman. Great film overall which is both surprisingly funny given the subject matter and deals with the danger/threat of WS/Nazis in an impactful and much needed way.

I had to check out, "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" given all of the positive press it's received and was overjoyed that it exceeded all expectations I could have had for your average teenage rom-com. Lana Condor was/is truly a gift!

Any one out there with experience in how to handle a marriage that is slipping fast, lost communication, husband is having mid-life crisis type situation? Love is still there, and we have two children, but we have tangled finances in which neither of us could live alone and support two kids... and he won’t go to

Movie thread! Has anyone seen anything interesting? I’m making good use of my A-List membership so I finally saw Sorry For Bothering You last night and saw Searching this afternoon. I’m still not sure what I think about SfBY as it was a lot weirder than I was expecting, especially in the third act. I think I may

Kotatsu are amazing. (In the winter, of course. But I kind of crave that sort of feeling all year.)
