If Max loses the championship this year, it would be one of the worst losses for a driver in my memory.

Wonderful win for Ocon, heck of a drive for Seb too, and what a phenomenal job of Alonso holding off Hamilton just long enough to keep him from simply Mercedes-ing past all the lesser cars ahead of him.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.

I got the most kick out this race when Hamilton lined up all by himself at the restart.

Not just a dirty trick by Hamilton (Nico Rosberg commentated on it saying “the games, oh the games! the games have begun” in his best supervillain voice) but those were probably team orders. That being said, it was a bad plan by RBR to let Max and Checo out then. 

Let me tell you about someone who didn’t wear a seatbelt, and survived a crash. His name was Balalalala; at least I think that was his name, it was all he was able to say.

Erik, it was a racing incident, pure and simple. Neither driver was about to yield the race to the other right then. Both drivers were going for the same thing and hoping that the other would bail out.
