All the best, smartest people are on Parler anyway.

I really think she already knows the answer, but her fellow congress critters aren’t ready for that answer, so she’s just doing what she does. The end result is from now on, DC is going to go to Defcon 1 for any and all protests in the city limits.

100% agree, I feel the same way about the tech companies as I do about the resigning cabinet and admin officials.

Just found this, unrelated, but had to share.

Well, we have to be fair arbiters in the process, too; we must take into account the reasons Trump loyalists were complicit in his crimes, and I’m sure that’s what Joe Biden is doing right now.

All that went down yesterday and only 1 person was shot. I was watching those maniacs bashing on the doors of the Capitol (NOT CAPITAL...If I see one more person spell it that way) and thinking, had that been all Black folks doing that, they would have went out like the 54th charging on Ft. Wagner in Glory...

It is basically Gene Hackman in “Unforgiven” which I wouldn’t call a bad western, but it didn’t exactly work out well for him.

She’s confusing the categories with water fountains; options instead of restrictions. Bad faith is the only way conservatives can argue.

What’s notable is that at the time of the rampage, the employee was still working for Mercedes, and the whole wild night was seemingly performed in response to rumors about possible mass layoffs.

You may be defiant. but then the car drives directly to the car wash and refuses to move until you cough up the dough for a wash. And we’re talking autonomous cars here, so it will also automatically lock its doors and windows and refuse to let you out until you pay up.

Autonomous cars are nowhere near being production ready. Toyota is filing patents on the car deciding whether to go to a car wash when their auto systems are one of the worst on the market. Mercedes backed out of the autonomous car thing altogether, and I would say if they were not number one, they at least were in

They also have now had cases where hospitals had extra doses and discarded them since there is no infrastructure to locate top priority people and get the doses to them safely.

We are pretty much the same age then. Don’t get me wrong though. I’d love to have a transportation pod with full autonomy for most of the driving I need to do. I have no particular need to drive my car to work or to the store, nor is there any enjoyment in it. It’s just not a realistic prospect for many, many years to

I don’t know how old you are, but fully autonomous cars is something none of us are likely to see in our lifetime. It’s one of those “So close, yet so far” things. I wouldn’t worry about it.

So all of my friends who work in healthcare as doctors & nurses have received the first dose. None of them hesitated.  One of my RN friends unfortunately works with some nutty, racist, Trump-loving fellow nurses - they are the only ones I’ve heard who are refusing vaccine.
