Ugh stop reminding me. I love to run but i absolutely loathe lifting weights. My boyfriend finally has me lifting twice a week, but its begrudgingly lol. I much prefer to run. Id rather do 10 miles than lift for 30 minutes.

Normally I’ve been pretty hostile to headcount-based child tax credits, but this one really looks like it’ll serve a broader political goal I’ve supported for a few years now, namely Basic Income. Getting people used to direct anti-poverty measures will grease the political wheels an election or two down the road. We

Its not though. Its a horrible call. Anyone who has done statistical analysis of risk knows how dumb a call this is. Increasing total vaccine hesitancy by even .1% will cost more lives in the long run than this. Thats the problem this decision misses the forest through the trees.

....There are actually eight (8!) different grades of beef, though supermarket shoppers are unlikely to encounter the bottom five grades (standard, commercial, utility, cutter, and canner).

Or you could find a salon that will cut your hair for free and donate your locks to make wigs for children going through chemo.  Your hair would be worth a lot more to them than it any money you make would be to you.

I paid off 90k of private and federal loans over the past 3 years. One could say those loans were the biproduct of a bright eyed 20 year old fresh out of the military and deceptive practices from private technical schools.

I am debt free, thanks all in part to my wife. It was fucking rough.

I’ve told this to my friends for months and I should know as I work with COVID and follow the research. But the hand sanitizer is always out and about, which is great for preventing many other types of nasties. I think it just gives people a sense of control. Yet somehow those masks keep slipping ...

Yeah, I feel like we stopped disinfecting the doorknobs in our house somewhere around mid-May. It was always pretty clear that covid was spread through airborne droplets. Once the initial panic faded, I think most people stopped surface disinfecting every surface in their house.

Isn’t this the most logical way to do it and probably the easiest as well? It’s how I’ve always done it and it makes the most sense. All of these others seem unnecessarily complex.

I do it mostly this way, except that I only cut off the stem end, cutting back most of the way to the root end and using the root end to help hold the onion together while I make the second set of cuts.

Unfortunately, all these food “holidays” have just become excuses for companies to try to get you to sign up for their app.

Why? Because poor people destroy property? That’s an unreasonable and unfair assumption. Do you have tenants who receive Section 8 assistance? Because I do, and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive.

Study finds that eating processed meats may increase your risk of getting hit by a bus”

I qualified for the vaccine because I’m technically obese so thank you, Krispy Kreme, for making sure I qualify for the next one as well.

Confused me? You’re the one that made the error. Someone that does their friends taxes should really know the difference.

You’re clearly out of your element here Bill.  You have no idea how low rates are, and you can’t “adjust your W2"

And when you’ve done that for 5-6 years, you’ll be able to afford a pizza!  Single topping only.  Better pick it up because you won’t be able to tip the driver.

Yes, take that money and put it into short term savings so you can earn.... what? Something like $5.50 in interest over a whole year, especially considering the last 20% of your pay periods won’t be in the account long enough to earn much of anything? Why bother? And that assumes you can accurately guess your tax

God damn right. Asking your average American to predict their tax burden from year to year is downright machiavellian.

The real answer is that we need to simplify our tax laws, not force feed all Americans a website and an 8 minute video from the IRS on how to check your withholdings twice a year. No one does this. It’s

Just wanted to say that shoes are just one of the tools - personally, running form is most important. Long story short, I'm 54 and have been running for 25+ years in Asics heeled-cushioned running shoes with orthotics in heel striking form. About 4 years ago, I cannot run anymore because of lower back pains, knee
