Yes - the “workaround” would be to use that same VPN to download the SomeMovie.2021.1080p.AMZN.WEBRip.rarbg torrent that you already paid for as a Prime member. Using the VPN will noticeably slow down the download, but it prevents your ISP from automated IP tattling on you to copyright holders who may then send

Phones have batteries; wallets don’t. It’ll endure.

I’ve lived in NYC for... 26 years now. Never been mugged (yet). But I love the idea of carrying a fake wallet just in case.

The 1st round of shots is still 100% effective against being hospitalized or dying, which is the metric that matters most. Don’t let the “breakthrough cases” news scare you into a booster, because it’s very misleading. Breakthrough cases are very rare, and most often it means the sniffles or nothing at all

Best way to fake interview confidence is to go in without any hint of nervous desperation stink on your personality. That doesn’t mean going in not giving a fvck, like in Office Space, but... close to it.

All of it. This frothy overpriced market is primed to crash again. “Don’t bet against the fed” blah blah.

What about warmup & cooldown walks? I rarely stretch either, but I always walk at least 10mins before&after running to get the oil flowing.

(Also in my 40's) — One very important thing to note, that this article predictably failed to mention, is that wearing shoes WITHOUT CUSHIONED RAISED HEELS is one of the best things you can do for your knees and indeed the rest of your body.

Simple LifeHack: Don’t buy shoes with lazy cushion; transition to minimal/barefoot footwear instead. Minimalist shoes cost more initially, but they also last much longer than traditional shoes because there’s no cushion to break down, and because the tread and sole wears away more slowly when you’re walking & running

Hah. Well the ~8min mile is my “fast” pace for at least one split when I really push myself on a 5K. When I go farther (further?) I slow down to about a 9.5min avg pace (which includes annoying traffic delays). So... more training to do before I could push my average down to 8min for an actual marathon. (Didn’t mean

I tried to use a C25K app for a short while, but found that I hated the “easy” walking interval aspect of it, as well as having to be a slave to my phone for the notifications. I don’t like wearing earbuds when running, or having to putz around with my phone at all. I only bring my phone for emergencies and for

No. The vaccine works and is still extremely effective against all known variants. Almost everyone who wants the vaccine has been eligible to get it for quite a while, so NO, I won’t be masking up again just to protect the anti-vaxxer morons. However, IF NYC gets back up to a “Substantial level” of cases of 50/100k

Another thing every beginner runner should know: HUMIDITY / DEWPOINT & temp matters a lot. Under 70F dewpoint is OK; 70-75F is hard; and higher than that you should reschedule your run unless you’re a masochist.

delete; wrong reply

7. first mile sucks: I don’t get this one. The first mile is the easiest for me, but I usually walk for 5-15 minutes to warm-up first, then start my run. I’m not a “Stretcher”, I walk at a medium pace (3 to 3.25 mph) for warm-ups. If the first mile sucks that bad, you probably need to warm-up more first.

Hah - I tried commando for the 1st time just a few days ago on a 5k, and the answer is NO! Without my FruitOfTheLoom tightywhitie armor my shorts kept running up my butt crack (eww) and chafed the tip of my baby maker (oww). Either way, you’re going to have laundry to do.

I worry more about big pharma trying to push “covid booster shots” despite any evidence that they’re necessary.

I literally just replaced our 15-year-old mildew-resistant shower curtain, and it held up remarkable well with minimal cleaning. It ended its useful life looking very clean, but the plastic yellowed, and the bottom had hardened and split in a few places.

Good idea, but I seriously doubt NoneOfTheAbove would ever get a majority of votes.

It sounds like maybe you pushed yourself too hard, too fast, when you started running?
