I knew Boeing scabs (in the 90s, iirc) routinely getting their tires slashed. Not much an airline passenger could do, though.

This strike won’t accomplish anything: Driving for a living is a dead-end gig in only the next 5 YEARS as autonomous fleets of taxis and trucks takeover.
This article will be out of date in only about a year as AI continues its exponential progress. How to tell then? We’re probably going to have to start digitally signing everything on multiple levels to have a chain of custody we can back-trace and trust: raw photos and video frames signed in hardware; then again each…
It’s relevant insofar as Amazon’s been flooded with mostly Chinese sellers recently, who all sell the same made-in-china crap, just rebranded and described in Engrish. It’s become almost as bad as Ebay in that respect.

Merkur for life.
Amazing that this review didn’t mention the AI buzzword once, since it certainly can’t be relying only on the 400,000 crowd-sourced humans alone. Have we turned a page where we take it for granted that machine learning neuralnets have infiltrated almost everything? :)
This article and the comments have me still just shaking my head. I too have an “Ameriflex” FSA card, but the hoops you have to jump through to use it just aren’t worth it. Far less hassle to just buy a pair of glasses every other year out of pocket.
Thanks for the true LOL.

It’s hard to single out a single definitive best purchase ever, but I have a very short list:
Are the robot vacuums smart enough to avoid mucking up all the sticky roach/mice traps you’ve placed around and under furnature? One day...
“Actually, I don’t use my phone much at all...”
A UV disinfection box? The germaphobia insanity seems to be spreading.
IIRC, you also mentioned a while ago that you were homeless at one point in your life, so it makes sense (to me) that you wouldn’t want to let consumer crap anchor you down when you *might* need to be couch surfing again.
AI will cure cancer (and aging) by 2030. Bet your life on exponential progress.
Who cares about looking good when you’re old?
Wonder what percentage of Slurpee machines will mysteriously be broken tomorrow or “all out”. My guess is 70% in cities; 30% overall.
