Is "fine" something that should be enough though? We live in the age of "fine" blockbusters, outside of complete trainwrecks like Suicide Squad majority of big films are competently made, well-acted and visually striking, but they're also soulless and safe. Marvel movies are fine, Jurassic World was fine, new King

What about my post indicates that i'm mad? I don't regret watching the film, but i'll also never think about it again. It's just based on reviews i expected something more ambitious.

Wanted to like this movie, but ended up really dissapointed. I expected some interesting take on addiction, instead that storlyine gets dropped completely in favor of a thriller twist with a typical indie-horror "real monster is abusive relationship" lesson on top of that. I guess i would've enjoyed the last 1/3 of

Sorkin needs a good director, i really like majority of the movies he wrote, but can't stand his tv shows, it' because while working on features he has people like Fincher and Bennett Miller in charge, while he's the main guy on tv set and directors are just there for one episode.

What's interesting to me is that all his recent big-budget blockbusters have great female characters in them that often stand out more than Cruise himself. Emily Blunt in the Edge of Tomorrow is the obvious one, but Rebecca Ferguson is awesome in MI5, so as Andrea Riseborough in Oblivion (that was surprisingly great

For some reason i decided to re-watch The Fighter not so long ago and it's great. Yeah, it's a generic boxing biopic, but it's also a fantastic comedy. Seriously, the movie's fucking hilarious and i think i was a bit distracted by the "Academy-Award winning drama" the first time to notice it.

And the reason why such generious beatiful soul as Harvey Weinstein is doing this is not because the movie is a pile of shit that got panned at festivals, re-titled and put on a shelf for 2 years, it's because he wants kids in school to watch it. Has nothing to do with free publicity at all.

Can Ponsoldt get back to making movies about addicts again? Every single thing he's done until this has been in my top 10 of that respectable year( Smashed is still my favorite, MEW is fantastic in it and was robbed of Oscar nomination), so seeing god-awful trailer for this has been incredibly disappointing.

She's not doing more, she just has two movies close to each other and one of them was huge, she's been working steadily since HP it's just her movies are so fucking bad they either bomb or go straight to VOD - so since nobody watched them it's like they don't exist, for example last year she was in Colonia and

I understand they wanted the show to be diverse and probably wanted to feel like that could happen anywhere anytime and also stay focused on one theme, but even without reading the book i was like "naaaaah" once i saw dark-skinned handmaids.

Didn't Tubro Kid has the exact same opening, including fuel shortage that caused apocalypse and "distant future" of 1997? That one was well-acted and had a cool score in addition to the gimmick, this show just looks like something that'll get boring after 10 minutes.

THIS IS KATANA

Every time somebody starts talking about how Jesse Plemons doesn't deserve to be with someone as attractive as Dunst i instantly think about this video. He might not be as good-looking as she is, but at least he's not an embarassing weeb.

The thing that stood out to me like something out of 2nd grade show is how Mcgregor's characters instantly goes along with murder, he didn't hesitate for a second. I understand he's an impulsive idiot in a true Fargo fashion (even if McNairy did what he was supposed to Emmet would instantly realize who's behind the

I expected him to suggest some improvements to make it less creepy or more interesting, but instead he with lazy "let's re-cut Santa Claus as a horror movie" trope. Here's the thing - this movie is supposed to be romantic and moral dilema of Pratt's character is a major part of it and was probably the selling point

Do you have any source on that? It was obviously one of the main theories, but i don't think Gein himself ever expressed that over the years in the hospital.

Well, he's based on Ed Gein and i don't think there was any indication of him wanting to be a woman. If anything, he was probably attracted to his mother and that's why his victims and the bodies he robbed were all of the same complection.

I don't think the word "genocide" should ever be uttered in a show about freaking mermaids.

Notebook was in 2004 as well. You can't even say it was his first acclaimed performance, he already had The Believer and The Slaughter Rule under his belt.

Yeah, i can instantly quote a dozen of great jokes from s1, i don't remember anything from s2, neither the jokes nor the plot. Hopefully Kimmy going to college will bring the show needed structure.
