Farewell

I'm aware, that's why i think it would've been a good statement if she refused. Regular viewers wouldnt've noticed at the ceremony because nobody really cares about stuff like that, so it wouldn't be some big Oscar scandal, but eventually press would've picked it up.

I wasn't talking about saying anything right there, i meant on twitter or something. She could've also refused to be a part of ceremony or asked for another award without commenting on it, that would've made a lot of press without actually talking about it.

I really wish she'd say something, cause this "protest" only makes her look good and doesn't actually shed any light on what Affleck has done. If she spoke there would've been a lot of baclkash from idiots, but some discussion at least and general public would've heard of it, but looks like she's afraid to go against

She's best friends with Michelle Williams since their Dawson Creek days.

I'm actually surprised how fast this whole thing ended, i expected it to be milked to death for the next week, but it's been actually pretty calm and meme-less, i guess it's partly because La La Land crew handled it well, partly because people do really feel bad for them.

They changed the schedule this time, usually it's actress-actor-picture, but i guess they changed it so it wouldn't seem that actor's more important

Oh boy, furry/otherkin heaven mixed with a family theme park, this is gonna end well.

Shouldn't it have been "best actor" card though? Because it goes director-actress-actor-BP, i guess it's possible that best actor card was on the other side? If anything, that makes fuck up even bigger, because they had all this time since actress announcement.

Gosling and Stone had probably the best reaction to the whole thing, which makes sense since it's not really their award, Gosling doesn't seem to care about statues at all and Stone just won her personal one. Gosling was straight up laughing at the absurdity of the whole thing, then they just kinda stood together,

Yeah, if it wasn't for Ben and Damon and their connections Casey's scandal would've been much bigger.

Eh, i don't like Landis - he's annoying as a person, but his movies are inoffensive, they try to be creative and fail, they're not misogynistic and in love with Latino gang culture like Ayer's stuff and he didn't make a fucking Scientology propaganda film like Smith.

Beatty really isn't at fault here AT ALL, he saw it was the wrong envelope, tried to show it to Dunaway, but she just read it instead. I think it's because he clearly looked sorry and was the one tried to fix things people just assumed it's his fault, while Faye straight up disappeared.

I know that people love Davis and she's a great actress, but i'm gonna go out on a limb and say that she didn't deserve to win in the first place. It was a lead role and a category fraud and she fucked over Michelle Williams, who also deserves to finally win and was in a correct category.

Maybe she should be pissed about a fucking million of terrible North Korea jokes Fey and Poehler made instead? AHAHAHA PEOPLE ARE BRAINWASHED AND DYING FROM HUNGER SO FUNNY. Let's bring Margaret Cho dressed as a general, isn't it hilarious and cooky and not at all fucking offensive?

I mean, not for Chazelle personally, but it's a huge hit on their reputation, people are going to talk about for years now and it's deffinetly going to be brought up once he's nominated again.

People mentioned this already, but if Chazelle's Armstrong movie is any good - it's going to win. That'll be their only way to fix this gigantic fuck up, he and his producers can go on stage and say something like "oh boy i hope it's correct this time" and everyone will laugh awkwardly and then it'll be over.

Well, Dicaprio is Russian on his mother's side or something and he was the one with best acress envelope.

Yeah, i feel bad, but i'd feel way worse if it was a director/actor category, this is basically producer's loss, majority of the creative people on stage already won tonight.

Next few days are going to be rough though, they're going to get MEME'd into oblivion just like Steve Harvey and unlike him they also lost in addition. Moonlight basically got fucked over as well, they would definetly get more press if they lost.
