Or that majority of original writers room have no attachement to revival and that Hurtwitz's post-AD career filled with nothing but disappointment which makes it more obvious he wasn't the reason for show's sucess, it's his writers.

Yeah, i noticed 3 "realistic" scenes like that and out of them the one with stretcher worked really worked, other two didn't. Outside of the one i mentioned i also didn't care about them searching for a parked car for what felt like forever.
You know your "movement" sucks when you think Peirs Morgan is making a good point, dude's one of the most pathetic and miserable assholes out there. Even fooball fans, who are often seen as racist and misogynistic despise that twat.
I've seen a lot of people mention messed up campaign and it's probably party responsible, but i don't think it's THE reason why it was ignored. It's bombing in theaters right now despite popular cast and Scorcese's name attached and even in early 4-theater limited release run it wasn't doing good (La La Land made 6…
Manchester is my favorite movie of the year, but Lonergan's "it's just like real life" direction choises were way too cute-sy for me ocassionally.
La La Land is a lock to win Best Score as well. Not sure about Best Song, i think 2 nominations might cancel each other out and Moana will win. It's interesting, i looked at Justin Hurwitz's imdb and apparently he's a comedy writer, worked on The League and even wrote one episode of The Simpsons.
To make it even worse - both SS and Trolls made a ton of money in box office, Silence fucking bombed.
My understanding is that even though Affleck is a creep and an asshole he didn't actually touch anyone.
Half Nelson
Where does Chazelle fit in in all of this though? Him not winning anything would be a major snub imo, he already deserved best director for Whiplash and didn't even get nominated, so Academy's due. I can see them giving him Best Screenplay, but winning over MbtS would be completely idiotic.
Manchester By The Sea
La La Land
Arrival
Moonlight
Moonlight is gonna get best adapted screenplay and that'll be Jenkins' Oscar, not directing.
I think she's the also the main reason why their romantic pairing works. Every time i see them in a movie or do interviews together she always looks starry-eyed, while Gosling is more reserved.
Foster is way more deserving to get a nomination for that movie than Bridges for me.
I mentioned it couple of times before in similar articles, but Adams and Gosling are similar to me in a way that they're super famous now, but their best performances happened very early in their career and even though both got nominated for them, just didn't have enough star power to win despite being the best…
I think it's like 85% Stone, 10% Huppert and 5% Portman. I watched Jackie yesterday and didn't like Potman in it, i don't know shit about Jackie Kennedy, so maybe she nailed her personality, but to me Portman's whole performance was nothing but LOOK AT ME I'M ACTING IN A BIOPIC.
Thank god it didn't get shit, Oscars were a long shot anyway, but Reynold's thirst to get that Golden Globe was fucking embarassing.
After all the praise i expected to be blown away by Ali's performance and….it was okay. He's good, but i didn't see anything award worthy in it and he's barely in the movie (supporting characters overall are my main problem with Moonlight) . That said, man's supporting category is awful this year, i wouldn't give it…
So basically, every year Streep has a semi-decent movie Best Actress category shrinks to 4 spots, what a joke.
I think that Manhattan getting the blame and USSR and US uniting over it doesn't make any fucking sense in the movie. Space squid or whatever it was is an outside threat, Manhattan was created by Americans and it doesn't matter that "he" destroyed NYC as well, USA would still be blamed for it.
