@I Think We're Property: I don't know which particular scene you're talking about, but that whole crew would be all over defcon.

I'd like to see the first couple in slow-mo, and see what happens there.

Finally, an article that explained the process in scientific terms! Huzzah!

@farcedude: Also, I'll take three of the "Home Depot" trailers - those sound like fun!

"It's like the Super Star Destroyer from Empire, after the Death Star is blown up."

One thing to look at might also be buying a 1/4 animal. My girlfriend and I bought a whole lamb and a 1/4 cow, and it's turned out to be a good bit of meat. Also, this is a great way to save if you're looking to buy grass-fed meat.

@JuJuMonkeyBoy: Ahh, I totally missed the muzzle loader aspect. Reading comprehension fail. So, if you sealed the powder in something, and then cleaned that, you could probably get it past security. But then it's basically a single shot weapon, because that's all you'll get off before someone realizes you have a

@JuJuMonkeyBoy: Wouldn't meticulously cleaning the outside of the bullets work, though? And I mean like alcohol soak and cleaning each bullet by hand in a clean bench sort of clean.

@JuJuMonkeyBoy: I always forget about the chemical sniffer things. I've wondered though, if you completely disassemble and clean everything with isopropyl alcohol, if they'd still find it. Not that I want to try and find out.

@Snarktopus: I'd imagine they'd put it together in the bathroom, though I'd use a smaller statue size (you don't need the whole kit and caboodle, just enough to camoflauge it. However, I imagine you'd have a harder time getting it past security - they'd want to scan it, and swab it, and disassemble it, because they

@snarky30: It's a case for your iPod, so you still only have to carry around one device.

I am actually tempted by this. I just got an iPod Touch a couple months ago, and can see the benefits of an iphone, but don't want to shell out however much for a new iphone and a plan (or even an old iphone). I just hope you don't have to jailbreak to use it (though I doubt that AT&T will be happy about it).

@Michael Interbartolo III: I won't deny that it's done wonderful things (including giving me a job for the past three years), but there is so much bureaucracy that could be trimmed. Also, if we had gotten off of our butts in the planning stages, we could have done the station and hubble much more efficiently, using

@Fauxcused: But which had design problems of its own, and would have been a jobs program as well.

I do feel sorry for these folks (I work with some of them), but dear lord, the shuttle has been mostly a jobs program for years.

I look more towards the hips, but the legs work too. Been doing this since junior high. It's annoying when I'm walking with someone else though, as I have to wait for them to catch up.
