Isn't VLC open-sourced? Doesn't that mean someone can take the code tweak it and port it to another device without the original developer complaining about it? I mean as long as they credit the developer right?

i had the nokia 1100, or whatever the tracfone equivalent was, that thing was amazing, besides that fact it had a color screen it had a flashlight. A FLASHLIGHT! good times.
So this means I can get a used blackberry and only pay 5 bucks more a month than what i'm paying for my 25mb data plan? If so this is fricken' awesome!

@cruzer555: Well yes, but this was a PR move made my apple, I highly doubt Steve Jobs personally paid for 33 iPods and sent them to the miners.
There is a lot of people saying that this was a cheap thing to send, but it's more than any other companies have sent/ will send. Props to Apple for this, not Steve Jobs, Apple.
