'Rainer Shine' is the kind of on-the-nose pun name that I would find delightful if delivered by Colin Mochrie in a game of Weird Newscasters, but here just made me cringe, especially because I could almost see a bunch of writers laughing and smugly high fiving about it.

"Canción de la Noche" by Matthew Perryman Jones kills me. It's one of those songs that just feels like a hand closing around my heart, every single time I hear it

I could be misremembering, but I think the Indian flicked it before he, ahem, kicked the bucket.

I thought it was hilarious that he saw the wide array of dates on Cassidy's arrest record, and automatically goes "yep, vampire" and not, like, identity theft or clerical error or something else suitably mundane-small-town-sherrify. Took me back to that bizarre story he told the angels earlier in the season; his brain

I had the marathon on in the background all day today and was blown away all over again by the stellar musical choices. Someone needs a raise.

That…was….something, yes.

Also, feels of the night, as per usual, go to Fiore and DeBlanc.

The Indian hanging himself from the tree got a supremely dark chuckle from me.

And that vaguely human quality to his soundtrack of slaughter… Yeurgh. Chills.

There was a lot of such great moments in this episode. The sheriff's clear anguish over Eugene, coming off of their explosive family drama, was crushing. Tulip sitting on the porch with her drunk uncle's head in her lap, enduring the judgmental stares of the neighbours, crushing. The tattoo on Jesse's dad's killer's

I haven't tried either of them out myself, yet, so can't help you out too much, I'm afraid. :(

Canadian sadface. :( The CW shows are all broken up across three different services here right now; super annoying.

Not English; me too.

I agree. It has a quality that reminds me of like a hi-res version of those annoying BitStrips that were all the rage on Facebook a while back. Like, the expressions are all just a little bit too much. Otherwise, I think it's fine.

I can barely handle all this drama.

The other guards calling him "Humps" helps me remember he's the creepy rapey one.

Well that fucking sucks.

I'm not a therapist. If the existence of a TV show your are under no obligation to like, watch or acknowledge is causing you so much angst, you should probably find someone else to talk to about the obvious underlying issues you have. Good luck.

Great, thanks for stopping by.

So don't watch it, I don't care. I and plenty others are enjoying it.
