You have it backwards. I think it’s obvious enough that “Adolf Hitler” wasn’t a serious suggestion.

I am sure the guy who put in the Adolph Hitler joke is not too happy you did not think it worked as a joke. I thought that was the best one.

You’re missing the point — it registers as a joke on those who insisted on the name change.

How is Hitler not a tongue-in-cheek one? I can totally see them, resentful of having to remove their beloved Robert E. Lee because it’s offensive, and saying “they want offensive? let’s give them offensive”

I’ve come to the conclusion that people who say “no drama” really mean “I’m going to be an ass and you can’t call me out on it or else I’ll cut you out and call you crazy”

Someone should give her some Lemonade.

Funny how the people who claim to hate drama are so often the ones starting it.

Not if they’re poor, let alone homeless, have a record, etc.

I’m an immigration attorney. I’m constantly telling my clients that they may have the law on their side, but the government has the power. And most of them don’t have the money or the resources to fight, no matter how right they are, or how just their cause.

Those who have the gold make the rules.

Oof. This hit me so hard today. I started out pissed off about the bank because I am still in the middle of a three year fight (with lawyers! paid for by insurance companies!) with a loan servicing company that let the property next door to my house rot. I estimate that it has cost me over $50,000 dealing with the

Thank you for writing this article. Not only do the wealthy and powerful get to break the rules, but a lot of us get to stay inside a safe perspective bubble where the most pressing crises are student loans, hookup culture, millennial philosophizing, etc. Real problems, sure, but made more dire because we don’t often

Best thing I’ve read on a Gawker site in quite a while.

Ben Carson has never been concerned with the facts before, so why should he start now?

“Andrew Jackson was the last president who actually balanced the federal budget.”

I was thinking they’re just “real men” who can defend themselves?

Yes, as would PCP. As would fire ants. As would the power going out 5 minutes before the end of (insert that show people like).
