I don't think I love it as much as the original, and I don't think I consider it Snyder's best film either (I prefer Watchmen, flaws & all), but I do think it's an enjoyable action horror film. Snyder's style was already in full-force too, might I add.

Plus Polley turned down a lot of roles that could have gotten her bigger parts like Gangs of New York, due to lack of interest or scheduling. She clearly wanted to do her own thing, which included becoming a director.
For me, Dawn is better. Dawn is fantastic & deserving of its cult-status too. I think may even enjoy Day more though.
At least it's fun to laugh at.

Yeah, if you watch an animated show, usually they start recommending other animated shows, no matter what, even if you're not interested in shows for toddlers.
The Defenders had a lot of marketing actually, at least I saw ads for it on various sites. I think it just depends on the show, and how much they wanna push it of course.
The heavy metal "synth's not popular anymore in his film" portion of his career soundtrack,was pretty good though.
