“What the fuck, salami?”
“What the fuck, salami?”
Yeah, honestly, I think it would have played better if Thorne’s followers had assassinated Jon without Thorne’s knowledge. Thorne, facing likely election as Lord Commander, would then have to decide whether he should denounce this conspiracy and have them executed, or not risk alienating his most loyal followers in…
I don’t think so, because it was established in season one that the Dothraki are superstitious and fearful of magic. We also learn that tradition is very important to them. The context of the fire in season one was very different than the one in season 6. And although the bonds established in season one were loyal,…
Two of the three Deadpool 2 teens are even based on New Mutants, although both had their names changed to other comic book characters. The movie’s versions of Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio bare more than a passing resemblance to Cannonball and Surge (the former having undergone a gender swap - at one point, the…
Yeah, the showrunners don’t seem to really grasp that a big part of the series is characters getting caught up in mostly irrelevant political squabbles when there’s a looming existential threat that they probably shouldn’t continue to ignore. I bet the climax of the show is going to be a fight with Cersei.
Daenerys also burns down the sacred temple of the Dosh Khaleen, killing several khals without any combat, and uses seeming magic powers to survive. The Dothraki all bow to her, rather than immediately accusing her of witchcraft like with Mirri Maz Duur.
Nah, Temple of Doom is pretty racist and sexist. Fun movie, though. Although there’s way too much screaming, for my taste - pretty annoying.
I still maintain that Pod didn’t actually do anything to them, and the whole thing was an elaborate joke played on Tyrion and Varys. (I go back and forth on whether Ros is in on the joke.)
His death in the movie also made me wonder about subsequent events in this alternate universe, because Ludendorff was one of the first and loudest proponents of the stab-in-the-back myth, the idea that Germany was actually winning the war on the battlefront but was betrayed back at home by Bolsheviks, Marxists, Jews,…
I think the arc of her getting the Dothraki to follow her will be a big part of the next book, but we know that the method she goes about it is a show only thing. They’ve been open about what they’ve pulled from Martin’s outline in the past, and they made no such statements here. That wouldn’t prove anything on its…
It’s actually, we later discover, Littlefinger who sends the Catspaw assassin after Bran. (In the books, it was Joffrey.)
There’s a difference between not making more scenes (which they shouldn’t do) and cutting scenes that he already shot.
I don’t really understand this. I can’t claim to speak for the man, but... he always seemed to enjoy being in the films, and wanted to be in them. He shot cameos for the films. Do you have reason to believe he would have wanted the cameos to be thrown out?
Yes, the stuff east of the Sea of Rhun is new, and Dwarves are said to have come from the Red Mountains... but perhaps just as significant for the direction of this series - Aragorn’s adventures as a young man are said to have taken him into the East. The two mysterious Blue Wizards also disappeared in the East.
Unfortunately, Babs isn’t in the BoP movie at all, and the team will instead be led by Harley Quinn. No, this doesn’t make any sense from any standpoint but a business one. (Although even from a business standpoint, why have her lead a BoP move instead of a Gotham City Sirens movie?)
Apparently, they’ll be fighting Jack the Ripper’s descendants, per some earlier quotes.
No, because “witch” is not a gendered term, especially in its more archaic usages. The idea that a male witch is called a warlock or a wizard is relatively modern. Historical witch hunts targeted both men and women - in fact, in some countries, they predominantly targeted men! (Although, overall, globally, women were…
Hhonestly, I want Tony to live just because I’m tired of Iron Man hogging the spotlight. Killing too many big name Avengers runs the risk of lessening the impact of each death. Also, the universe will always feel incomplete without certain characters running around in it. This is Steve Rogers’ moment and time to…
I know I’m super late, but I only just got around to watching this. de Zama didn’t arrive in South America... he was born there. He’s taunted with this a few times, as when Luciana makes the comment about Europe being best remembered by those who were never there, or when he’s accused of being a fool for ever thinking…
She’s supposedly set to make her MCU debut on New Warriors, if that show ever actually comes out.
