What are the laws concerning public photography in Japan? Photos like this always made me uncomfortable because it was never clear to me what the rights of the public photography subjects are and it might be rude to take photos willy nilly.

This is a lot smarter then people let on. Japanese currently have a problem of greying of their society. Majority of their population is adults and elderly.

I understand that Japan has an “apology culture”, but what I don’t agree with is that if it is not something you could control, you should not have to apologize.
