Yes! Now you mention it, I believe it was the bump she was up to, up there on the desk. She was awesome. I think she was probably only 22 or something, though she seemed epically grown up to me at the time.

Jerry Lee Lewis “High School Confidental” This is from the Live at the Star Club album. The Killer is playing so fast, the backing band is hung out to dry. He is playing so fast, his singing cant keep up. I would have loved to see the video of this performance.

Townes Van Zandt was brilliant and his music influenced so many young musicians. He easily could have been a major star, but he preferred playing dive bars and living the life of a drifter. I don’t believe he ever gave many interviews, but it would have been interesting to find out what made him tick.
