Epic. It drove my father mad. Mad, I tell you, mad. I played it as loudly as my cheap stereo permitted until the Commander marched in and the lecture began. I hope Jimi plays it for him tomorrow in the great beyond. No disrespect to either of them intended. I loved them both.

Blind Melon. No Rain. Cuz my life’s not sane. Happy Birthday America! To all my DUAN friends a great weekend with lots of fireworks.

Perhaps she did help him in some way by reaching back in time. And, her reference to how old they are was a retrospectful gaze to their schoolyard years. Hoping he finds his way. It’s never too late.

I agree. She had to remain professional, but she reached that man by reminding him of a history they shared. Had she been cold hearted, the judge simply would have ignored all that, addressed his legal issues, and moved the docket. I found it touching and wish him well.

It's awesome that you do that knowing you can't take any home. That's the real sacrifice I'm sure. Blessings.

Unplanned pregnancy at 40. And, by unplanned, I mean we got married and said, if it happens, it happens. No sooner said than done. Eggs to spare, apparently. And I didn’t even Tomei stamp my foot! Some things simply are meant to happen?

My sweet Minuit just went to live on a lovely farm with a huge barn and many mice where she may freely roam and be brought inside during the winter. I am moving into a city apartment in another state. She would have been miserable to be trapped indoors as she always has been an in and out country cat. I am sad, but

I didn’t recognize it. I’m sure it’s Dylan’s own as poetic as he is. “Life would be infinitely happier if we could be born at the age of eighty and gradually approach eighteen.” Mark Twain. Philosophical mates, eh?

Right back at you!

Hahaha. That's so Mark Twain or is it Samuel Clemens? Only in our minds, Window, but I think I’m ok with that.

A late edit, Mr. Peil, to add that Calvin Trillin likely would enjoy this read. Not speaking for him, mind you, just sayin.

I just said that in the voice of Melissa Mc Carthy and threw the metal sign thing with both hands. I’ve lost my mind. And, now that I’m actually listening to your post, I’m reminded that we’ve lost another great artist this year. Damn. Getting old as fuck. I remember these guys as young. Amazing after all these years.

Well, I did find SRV performing Voodoo Chile live and dedicating it to, of course, Jimi. Awesomeness.

Great post Be-Bop I believe Stevie Ray Vaughn also covers this. It’s in my humble opinion one of the best blues songs ever written. Up there anyway. Stormy Monday. Yeah, it’s Thursday, but it’s raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock. That’s a Tennessee thing, ya’ll. Texas bound in 13 days and counting.

A really good read that brought some atmosphere, charm, and culture about a region, people, and sport I know little of. Thank you.

Yep. You more or less have to bugger the provost to be fired after tenure! (A movie reference I can’t recall)

I enjoyed it. Life's little twists. Good share.

Also, trick question. See my post. Lol.

Thank you. My guilty pleasure is a giant one Nutrageous. Every. Day. So far, I’m neither fat nor diabetic. So far.

Saw them once with Papa Joe Creach. They took me there.
