I mean... is he wrong? Is there anything that gets audiences out to movie theaters now, especially in pandemic conditions, in the volume that Marvel reliably does? Why the snide attitude here when, for better or worse, Marvel movies have become one of the very last things an increasingly divided America can agree on?

The Good Wife is truly excellent TV; I would even say it’s the closest thing prime time network TV ever got to something as holistic as The Wire. I would also say that if you ever do decide to give it a try, stop after season 5 and cherish your memories of it in its prime

The Good Fight is pretty great, if you’re into a legal show becoming increasingly surreal and Beckett-esque with each passing year

the showdown of insidious private sector vs. fascist public sector really is a “no matter who wins, we lose” kind of setup. but yes, in this specific case, yay capitalism

Peaky Blinders is a perfect example of how something can be great without being good

I get irked by the “you can’t be excited about this trailer, Disney is doing a bad” crowd. People can walk and chew gum at the same time

That said, I’m not excited about this trailer

I didn’t like this show, and I was still sad it got canceled. The main trio were doing great work, and the ending left things wide open for a lot of fun without the weight of The Canon dragging them down. I wish it had gotten its chance.

my new rule for queer representation is that if the filmmakers have to tell me about it in an interview outside the text, it’s not queer representation

i’m all for catwoman being a woman of the world, but if this is all you’re gonna do then why even bother

I think there is a 66% chance we never see The Winds of Winter

I think there is a 100% chance we never see A Dream of Spring

pretty wild, the assertions of superiority that come from people too weak to use all the spices they stole

I just cannot for the life of me understand what they hope to achieve with this show.

Imean, I can understand what they hope to achieve, which is a second coming of Game of Thrones. But Wheel of Time didn’t manage it, nor Shadow & Bone, nor The Expanse, or any of the other big-budget genre adaptations. It’s entirely

Hiddleston’s impressions are always painful, and made all the more so by the fact that he clearly thinks he’s some kind of Man Of A Thousand Voices type guy

between her long-term delusion of Spanish fluency and her complete inability to detect Joseph’s true parentage without Hank coming right out and saying it...I totally believe she’d go QAnon

can’t wait to find out that Peggy went full-blown QAnon, while Dale of all people shuns it as being entry-level conspiracy shit

As much as I enjoyed Boyd and think Goggins is a living national treasure, I actually hope we don’t get him. Their last scene in the show was such a beautiful coda to the ballad of Raylan and Boyd. I don’t need another verse, even if it’s just a reprise.

Almost any breaking news about a revival makes me shrug, but this...this has me downright giddy

I’m just gonna say it: white gay male actors are doing just fine. They are really and truly not hurting for roles. Andrew Rannells, Jonathan Groff, Dan Levy, NPH, Zachary Quinto, Jim Parsons, Ben Platt, Andrew Scott, Victor Garber, Matt Bomer, Ben Whishaw, Wentworth Miller, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, John Early...and

As long as there’s one Musk for everyone to obsess over, they’ll continue to ignore all the Holmses and Kalanicks and Juicero boys

...you mean when he walked away from one of his signature jobs, apologized for the harm he caused while doing it, and in subsequent conversations doubled down on his desire to make amends for it?

There are actual bad people in Hollywood. Save your knives for them.

I got a That 70's Show notification for this?
