Very very popular in Australia.

This name plate popped up in Australia also.

How is this in any way, shape or form forgotten? People are still building replicas...don't know about that restrictor plate, the Group A's had the twin-throttle body manifold, still one of the best flowing 304 manifolds you can get.

Now playing

This is what SS means in Australia, I think you may like it.

Best of both worlds?

My girlfriends sister owns a '93 Mitsubishi Lancer where the manual lever is broken. Not that I would prefer the auto-dimmer.

Hooning with a bench seat = popeye forearms and twisted knees.

How hot can it get? In the summer where I live (Australia) it regularly reaches around 45C (about 115F) and I have never owned a car with AC. I think humans are becoming to accustomed to a controlled climate....

I think these cars have all outgrown the "pocket-rocket" label.

DAMN!! I would love to see someone make a turbojet out of one of these!

My apologies, just that most people on here are from North America. Japanese cars are extremely popular in Australia, even some of the less known ones like the Bluebird SSS.

I doubt that the Type-R's will ever be forgotten. I imagine they will have Honda fanboys even in the year 3000.

I don't see this as ever being forgotten....

Than how about a baby Godzilla? Are these popular in the states? SR20 + Attesa + hatch = Pulsar GTiR

These cars are very popular in Australia, have you seen the wagon form of the Galant? the Legnum, also available in VR4 trim.

Once again repping Australia.

Here is another ATTESA equipped car, though this is powered by an RB enigne.

Reminds me of a Holden VL Calais

Also available as the wagon Legnum VR4.

Electric starter motor, could you imagine cranking an engine by hand these days?
