I haven't read them to be honest. However, Cornwell does a good job of showing Christianity in it's primitive form battling with Paganism and I would steer clear of anything that painted it in a better light. I'll take a look though.
George R.R. Martin agrees with you! They're apparently friends and GRRM has stated and Cornwell does the best battle scenes of anyone he has ever read. Lancelot is scum for sure. I loved Nimue until she did those things to Ceinwyn and Merlin? I have to admit I struggled with Arthur too after what he did to Tristan...
You should definitely check them out. They're a big different than his other books but he's stated more than once that they were his favorite to write. Not quite as hopeful as some of his other novels and with a bit more ambiguity about the nature of religion and magic.
Not alone! It was one of my favorite Phase 1 movies.
Thank you for the answer!
Well yes, but in a billion years....;)
If a nearby supernova like the one that triggered the creation of our star happened again, would it inject enough matter and heavy elements to reignite a dying star?
You'll need a pile of salt big enough to kill a slug the size of a small European country
I haven't but I'll be sure and check them out! Have you read Cornwell's books? Also a great non-fiction book on the time period is Britain After Rome; I can't recommend it enough.
Can't really stand any depiction of Arthur after reading Bernard Cornwell's Warlord Chronicles. They really, really need to make this into a movie. It's got a lot of what you suggest as well as depicting the great struggle between Christianity and Paganism It's a fairly accurate portrayal of a) what life was like in…
Look at your skull though! We were all taught that skulls were evil. You must be evil.
DRM only impacts people who don't pirate. Pirates get around DRM and it doesn't stop it. I've downloaded stuff I own because DRM is bugging me. For all the money and laws fighting piracy, they haven't been able to prove that piracy actually hurts their business and that DRM or any of their other tactics do anything to…
Nope, I almost never read Scifi. I read voraciously but it's typically history books. I think I own about a half a dozen scifi novels and about 300 history books.
I'd much rather see ghosts than talk to my dad. Just saying.
This is a question that I have been asking recently and I'm putting a disclaimer that I don't necessarily think that this would be a good thing. I just want to spark a discussion.
I think he saw making money as a puzzle to be solved rather than a goal or even a means to an end. Initially he was making a couple thousand a day and that's plenty to live off of. He just wanted to push his limits.
It's really about ethics in video game journalism...
I disagree with you completely but that's just me. I don't think it got a free pass at all. Comic book fans do not drive the current comic book movie boom. They're a tiny, tiny minority of viewers. If you were bored by the second half that's your opinion and one that the vast majority of people disagree with.
Thanks
