"For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon!' "The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Behold, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!'

Well given their track record I should say that Google has their sights set on a lot of amazing things that we will either never see or see a very long time from now. It's great and needed to push these technologies, but I am guessing we won't be seeing them anytime soon.

It's one of my favorite things about io9. They actually engage with the community and I feel like I'm a part of it and contributing. This just underlines that.

My guess is that they are a small company founded by someone with an idea to solve a problem they perceived in ceiling fans. The idea that they would sell them to contractors rather than consumers hasn't been worked into their business plans yet.

Why is Samsung the only company that makes products that look just like Apple products? I really don't understand this. Is it just lazy? Because I see beautiful, amazing phones from other Android manufacturers and even Samsung, but some of their phones and tablets look just like Apple products at a glance. That can't

I was just thinking that. If I get caught looking at naked spaceships at work....(glances over shoulder).

There are...no strings....on ME...

No apology necessary...simple mistake. Go back a few weeks and see the comments explode when I asked if 23 Jump Street took place across the street...apparently it did.

Trailers, not clips.

I was just thinking that. Especially early on when it was super obvious they were just using the same British Columbia forest for 90% of the episodes. A lot of the CGI could be reused over and over. Once you've seen one Ha'tak blow up, you've seen them all.

I think we've reached a shift in civilization that we haven't seen since the birth of agricultural. With agriculture, people were finally able to make enough food for art, government, culture, and most importantly, large-scale warfare. However, we've reached a new level where too many people aren't working. Children

I have to say the escalation and introduction of male clones was a bit expected but not as welcome. I hope that they make the male clones as diverse and complex as the female ones rather than just cookie-cutter "military clones". Also I hope they have physical problems as well. Like do the male clones not have the

Were I in charge I'd be rewriting the movie to incorporate precisely that!

Black hole, ZPM, Ascended ancient...

So what would happen if you took two of these machines and pitted them against each other?

I assume the loss of hydraulic fluid meant the loss of some of the control meaning that they couldn't be as precise as they needed to, leading to the "crash".

Mika, are you as excited about this as I am? I don't think anything excites me more than watching SpaceX and their achievements, experiments, and even "failures". With the devaluation of the words "awesome" and "amazing, I don't know what words to use to describe how I feel about this.

This is so insanely exciting. That it wasn't 100% successful doesn't bother me at all. The fact that they accomplished what they did on their first test is amazing. Awe-inspiring. Those words are overused by perfectly appropriate here.

In the future they could coat them with screens. Cameras on the opposite sides would make them effectively invisible.

Yea I had the exact same thought. I just remember a comment thread on here before where people were claiming Shaw and Root were the weakest characters.
