Thank you! I'm always seeing people explain how obsolete the computers in the Apollo missions were or on other various spacecraft. There's a reason why these computers are the way they are. Sometimes money, sometimes because they do the job very well. Or because of weight.

"The internet is like a marriage: you are free to express your own opinion but will quickly be told that you are wrong."

haha no! But I've only been watching TV and movies for 12 years. So you pretty much nailed it.

Well when we have a Republican Congressman saying the Police "officers have a pretty darn tough job to secure the streets as it is" it just shows you how that mentality can grow. Securing the streets sounds like military talk. Who are they securing the streets from? Who is the enemy?

I'll check it out. Thanks!

Sorry! I have a good reason. I was almost literally raised under a rock and didn't even start watching movies until I was 17 (and had to sneak out to do it). We didn't even own a television. This meant that the first Terminator movies I watched were the later ones and groundbreaking things never seem that

Wrote an answer above!

I wrote my reason in a reply to Nexus6. I wish I had included it in my original post!

The capsule settled into the ground with a shaky jolt and, for the first time in years, was completely still. After an exploratory mission across the solar system, they were home. The increasingly worrisome news reports had raised the tension levels high and when all contact with earth was lost months before, they

Except not the way we print them now. Mass production doesn't exactly go hand in hand with mass production. Sadly.

Massive debates over whether the iPhone 5s pre- or post-dates the iPhone 4. It'll be hilarious.

Thank you! That all makes sense. I just thought that 9:44 seemed really arbitrary.

This is why that series would make a way better premium TV show on HBO or something. Really get into the plots of it. There were quite a few missing plot points that were boiled down to something more basic. Petra's and Ender's relationships was super complex and OSC's obvious misogyny doesn't come through until later

Mika, do you know what criteria they are meeting for the launch window and why they can't launch outside of that window?

I feel the same way...still, I massively cut down on meat this year for this reason alone. Dairy...well I grew up with a dairy cows and I have celiacs so I eat a ton of dairy. That one is much harder to tackle. Still, knowing how much one cow produces I am not eating/drinking one cow's worth of producing. I can't say

Don't Google Dolcett. Just...don't.

I just got way more excited for this than I was. I was never a huge fan of the original Terminators and I've never been a fan of Arnold, but I loved The Sarah Connor Chronicles and love seeing Sarah Connor kick ass. This trailer made me excited for this movie! Yay!

You're completely missing the point. They weren't using the passcode because it was too annoying. Now they are securing it because it's more convenient. It's replacing the password because currently people use bad passwords or no passwords at all. Biometrics is going to have to work with passwords for now and will

Will an Iris Scanner work if you're dead?
