@Benedinho: I haven't run a jailbroken phone in a while, but as I recall, updating would result in the jailbreak being undone. Your jailbroken apps will still be on the phone, but the official OS won't even acknowledge that they exist. I'm not sure if jailbreaking again will make them show up or not, though.

I have a 3G and I don't think I'm even going to bother to update it. 3G misses out on practically all the features I'd be interested in. Oh well.

I'm almost happy I'm unemployed now because I never intended to order until late July so, luckily, none of this affects me.

I've never had problems with AT&T, ever. They even waived $950 of a $1000 bill for me once... so I'll be staying with them no matter what. Though I'm curious as to what they could be so afraid of. My guess would be the iPhone going to other carriers, though not necessarily to Verizon.
