I’m not a catholic, so if my understanding about this is wrong, I apologize, but based on the linked article, it seems that abortion has always been treated as an unpardonable sin. You can’t be forgiven. Now, the pope just made it possible to be forgiven like all other sins. If this is true, that’s a big deal.
