I know a lotta people prefer visiting Japan in spring, but I love me some fall here...even if it really only lasts like 2 weeks these past few years :(
Highly suggest going to Shosenkyo for anyone in Japan this time of year. It’s in Yamanashi and fairly easy to get to.
No need for condescension here friend. Just stating an opinion based on first hand observation and anecdotal evidence.
After the last post about this I saw them doing it a week or so later here in Akihabara. Still obstructing traffic. I know some might think I’m being harsh, but traffic is bad enough without these things on the road here.
I wonder if when this guy does to bed he has...REM sleep.
THE SPYCE MUST FLOW.
All for this. Having worked in Shibuya a couple of years ago and now Akiba, I’m glad to see these things go. I think they’re a hazard and they hold up traffic. Of course, this doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last them on the road, but I doubt they’ll be as popular if they have to drop license characters.
Was telling a friend that I felt each year there’s more floor space for stuff like this and also PC hardware. Was really surprised to see that IO Data booth today.
My biggest disappointment from day 1 of TGS 2018 was waiting in line too long for Kingdom Hearts III and missing my “fast pass” for RE2. Then I did myself in by standing in line for Sekiro for 2.5 hours -_- but WORTH IT.
I was in VR line today but decided to jump out because I didn’t wanna get stuck playing something I didn’t want to. That being said nothing looked terrible, I just really wanted to try Déraciné :(
As someone who works in Akihabara. I can 100% say you get it...you totally get it...
It’s great for the spectacle, but if you’re looking to pick up retro games at a halfway decent price stay FAR FAR away.
Sounds about right. I’m in a management level position in my latter thirties and my salary is only 280,000 yen (bonuses 2x a year are okay depending on how the company does). My feeling is jobs all around aren’t paying so hot here in Japan, and are surprisingly low at times in Tokyo. I would think in the anime…
Played this at TGS 2017 and I liked what I saw. Hoping it’s at TGS this year as well to check out a more updated build. Was hoping it’d make it out this year though :(
I visited there about six months after the quake. Was sad how deviststing it hit parts of Kyushu. Spent most my time in Kumamoto and it was super uplifting to see the support the community was giving each other. Hope to swing back down there sometime and hit up Beppu.
I work right across the tracks from the UDX building where they had the finals. I was going to go but decided not to. One of the people working with my company went over there and said the presentation was pretty bad, like it felt like it was in a closet and the set up was really lame.
Sad it didn’t do well because…
Is it wrong that when I saw this pop up in the feed, I thought it was about another hiatus?
Wish there was more coverage like this Brian. I was fairly enraged when I saw/read about the video he posted in Aokigahara. This guy doesn’t really understand the impact it has on those of us who live here, not to mention tourists as well.
He obviously doesn’t care about the results of his actions...except for the…
Welp, time to go to Yodobashi.
Some great pics this year. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again...I wish I could move back to Yamanashi. So peaceful and beautiful there. Not to mention, the people are great as well. And the grapes, and the hōtō noodles, and the peaches....and the....Imma stop there....
Great stuff, but it boggles my mind how they can handle the cold here today. Maybe I’m just weak against it, but I can’t go outside for very long in west Tokyo where I live. Brrrrrr.
