Once again, I'm glad that people are even willing to breech such subjects. I've seen how negatively gamers react when a cultural, or moral message is being examined in a game. Lots of them just want to cordon games off into pure entertainment and fuck everything else. Classic postmodernity and consumerism... there is

Blizzard, if you're reading this and are considering a Warcraft 4, Please Please Please for the LOVE OF GOD... don't make the unit's feet so damn big. I mean what the hell???

Loads of cultural significance in this photo all because of this kid's shirt. I mean gallons of it.

Soldiers in most places are giving America and the West an image problem. Cops are just a trickle-down byproduct. That we just now happen to see the distaste in a soldier-cop game is some mighty unfortunate timing not to mention tasting our own medicine...

Ooh interesting!

Also, you can play it completely seriously if you want. Kojima is pretty good at giving players the options to craft their play through of the games in multiple ways. He's not going to force you to be silly if you don't want to.

Wow. Glad I'm not a TR fan.

Haha, yeah... *kinda embarrassed*

Okay no. There is an objective standard to art. There is such a thing as good/bad art. And if we never had people like critics to point out flaws in the plot, we are furthering ourselves down the path that views entertainment as purely that. Forget intellect, forget logical structure. All we need to make a good story

More importantly, is that WoW or LoL? Or Starcraft perhaps?

So badass UFC champ is a total pokemon nerd and Christopher Lee likes fantasy power metal. Internet is a place of discovery for me tonight.

I'll take it old school because after all, I was young and it affected me all the more because of that probably, but Bungie's Marathon. At first, I thought nothing of gunning down countless aliens and bobs, but after awhile my conscience started to bug me. I actually talked it over with my pastor and he was like,

This is... so good. My heart skipped beats when I saw this picture. It makes SO much sense too! And dat Rinoa trainer outfit! This is too brilliant. All of my yes. All of it. God bless you, Andrew Ryan.

It will make having multiple kids a lot less hectic. Not having to rush to teach ALL of my toddlers how to poop, talk and walk will be a nice break...

Well I've never played Wasteland, Fallout 1 or 2, but I do like this idea. One thing I constantly kept doing in Fallout: NV, for example, was re-loading the game if ever one of my companions died. I wanted to see how their stories played out once I beat the game. But this meant a LOT of reloads for me, especially if I

If Bioware took a page out of Square Enix's playbook, I might play their games too...

I think it'd be nice to have a game that uses this mechanic if and only if the player doesn't play with wisdom. So like, if he sees a group of enemies and thinks he can just rush in there and take 'em, there's more of a chance he'll get captured and have THIS happen. Yeah, I'd like to see that in a game.

A lot of the times it's an MMO sound effect, especially one that happens repeatedly in the background, like buff effects or crafting noises.

I had more of a love of the cities. While I was playing Skyrim and reading through some book, it casually mentioned the destruction of Ald'ruhn, I was made pretty sad. And the more I played through Skyrim and I came to realize pretty much all of Vardenfell was destroyed, I was REALLY sad...
