I disagree. While I think it's true that not every meme is worth it's salt, memes are a great way to plug into the culture. Case in point, I have Kotaku itself to thank for exposing me to the Japanese Snow Lovers meme. A few weeks later, I got all kinds of derivatives of that meme on my FB feed via vocaloid fan pages…
