I hate gender reveal parties for a multitude of reasons, especially for perpetuating the myth that pink =girl and blue = boy. My sons’s favorite color is currently purple. And mine is yellow. Why do we have to assign colors to fucking genders. It’s so irritating!

Why is this a thing?

Gender reveals are just excuses for pregnant couples to have extra parties where I have to buy more gifts. Where does it end with these people? (picture Kevin from the office at this point).

More than one event = more gifts and more attention. People will claim that they had gender reveal parties and insisted that there be no gifts, but who is going to be invited to a party and not take something for the hosts?

Why is this a thing? It’s just another way to add to the countless narcissistic events tied to having a baby.
