On the side of the road with head gasket issues.
Haven’t we all?
Ugh. If I’m ever eaten by a 23-foot-long reticulated python in the remote village of Salubrio, I hope the villagers who discover me at least have enough respect to film the extraction of my corpse horizontally.
It’s still a shitty design whether or not any of us actually ordered one.
Good lord that shit is ugly.
Some of us are DEFINITELY not over that. I’m a gigging musician and live sound engineer...Apple’s vision for the future of audio does not line up with mine.
Might as well have a coordinated nuclear strike on the entire Middle East to take care of all the terrorists while we’re at it.
“We’re fat and most us have the driving competency of a gerbil in his first day of driver’s ed.”
Yeah, definitely older technology, and I see your point about not being able to amortize the EU/Asian new technology across the US product line as well. I don’t see “quality” going down per se, but I can see us getting shipped the old tooling for tech too dirty to use in EU/Asia.
Clearly you’ve never lived in a city that doesn’t have access to lyft, uber, or taxis. Or alternatively a rural community. Driving while impaired is bad, but I’m not impaired after two drinks. This is a stupid rule to punish non-Mormon fun havers.
Why not .01, then?
Need to get some backyard mechanic skills. Did the thermostat in my 02 1.8t in under 20 mins.
Fuel Pump on any 82-92 Camaro/Firebird. Located in the tank, access it on top of the tank, which is above the exhaust and over the rear axle. Basically it’s easier to remove the carpet and cut a hole in the rear hatch area than to yank it out correctly.
I’ll see your 90's Monte Carlo V6 and ante up any 3rd or 4th gen Corvette, Camaro, and Trans Am. My 4th was literally the first time I had EVER been foiled by such a simple maintenance procedure.
No, they’ll just use fully amortized engines that are dirtier for the USA market. IF California gets to keep its own regulations, the rest of the US will just subsidize the more advanced engines that Californians will get.
The new X1 is more of a crossover still built off of a car platform. The previous gen X1 was literally a lifted 1 series hatchback though so I don’t care how BMW marketed it, it was still a car.
FYI: Most major logistics companies (UPS, FedEx, etc.) design their own delivery vehicles and contract out w/manufacturers to build them (of course not counting off-the-shelf Sprinter vans and the like).
To answer the question of what effect rolling back EPA regulations will have you just have to look at the 8o’s and 90's. At the time CARB had more stringent standards than the EPA (and I believe they still do) yet most cars sold still met CARB regulations. It makes sense economically to do that. In order to recuperate…
Guess what: An SUV does not have to be a light truck. Next I’ll be hearing we should not distinguish sports cars because they are just sedans with two less doors. SUVs are different enough that they belong to a separate category.
