Center of Gravity also plays a huge factor. Or if your cargo shifts.

The Blizzacks on my girlfriend’s car must be broken.

On a normally street, yes, but not not on a Highway/Interstate....

You’re probably a giant asshole too.

Back in the days, these were made of wood and you’d put one on each foot. With some hay on a cold day.

Yeah, me either - plus when you’re shopping at this price point, it’s a better than good idea to not buy it sight unseen.

Says reliable, not pleasant to drive! ;-)

Pedantic I know but the launch statistics don’t account for the most recent failure since it was a test fire not a launch.

I don’t like the thought of having to remove the engine or transmission to change that belt though. It really should be gear driven.

Because fuel is still cheaper in the long run than electric and there is that nagging range issue with batteries. When they can figure out how to affordably get 300 miles from a battery pack that can be charged in <15 mins for roughly the same price as a vehicle with an ICE, that is when the tides will begin to turn.

Claims he doesn’t want to deal with fancy electricals.

I understand that; but Tesla is also heavily marketed on low cost of operation even though the car costs a substantial sum. Their website even provided a calculator to calculate the “savings” you would get by not having to fill up a car at the pump because you can charge at home, the price difference of electricity at

That’s highly variable, since you’d have to figure out how much your power company charged you for the energy in your house used to charge your Tesla. You have to know that to know if it’s more or less than what a supercharger is charging you.

for anyone who thought they’d get free power for life, this must seem like a real kick in the family joules.

Because she can? Because she wants to? What’s it to you

Same in my area. I live in Tulsa and was watching Live PD this past Friday. The Tulsa officers mentioned the dramatic increase in car thefts during the most recent cold snap, mostly attributed to being left running unattended. They had a lengthy list of cars to look out for. A stolen car was pulled over recovered

Perhaps that’s the case and maybe a bad assumption on my part. However, I’ve never met an engineer that doesn’t call themselves an engineer whether they are in product design, manufacturing, quality, or any other actual engineering role.

Hint: BMW headquarters are in Munich

I regert nothing.
