To the Greys, a few points.

She thought that hug was absolution and since the cameras caught it she the white person would be absolved and wouldn’t do any time.

Self defense shouldn’t work if the other person is the one that should feel attacked. In this case the guy was home. Being in your own home should take priority over someone THINKING they were in their own home. Or else where do you put the line where confusion can be used to claim self sefense? “he said I will show

Bitch, you broke into another person’s home and fucking shot him. The only thing that’s ‘reasonable’ here is seeing you put under the jail.

Now only is the white woman’s home her home, but so is a black man’s home!

To all those in earlier posts telling me that forgiveness was the better choice to give this person....

I genuinely haven’t a clue how much they made off those youtube videos but don’t care; it’s clear they weren’t paying fairly and they were hoping things would die down and people would shut up and accept what they were given.

Andy and Chris seem to have just been saying what they thought they needed to and I’m

It’s genuinely impressive how extensively BA managed to fuck this situation up. Olympics gold medal level ineptitude.

Rick just bought this gorgeous little jewelbox of a house in Mexico with such a pretty kitchen that he already promised we’d be seeing a lot more of. Fingers crossed for him, and Priya and Sohla, because they all deserve much more success.

This just seems so stupidly short sighed on the part of Conde Nast/BA. I used to watch at least one of the BA videos daily as my daily inoculation against COVID-induced depression, but stopped as soon as their shitty practices came to light; the fact that they offered the BIPOC talent so much less even AFTER

Agree completely. There was a brief window were CN could have aggressively did an about face, revamped their abhorrent policies, and rebuilt the magic (but in a better way). . . but they missed that chance now. Shameful.

I like Brad, but I don’t know how many more things he can ferment.

I don’t see how they can continue this youtube channel. The magic is gone; hopefully they can find their own space/channels. It’s shocking that Conde Nast still refuses to pay them equal to their counterparts and that it took this whole time just to dig its heels in.

Sohla did a video with Binging with Babish last week, hopefully that means we’ll still see her guest star with other cooking youtubers or start her own thing.

Honestly, the regular BA videos were a huge part of my entertainment, especially during the start of quarantine. The team were all just so fun to watch and it was educational/ helped me really take my home cooking to another level. Needless to say, I am sad to hear that Conde Nast has done everything in their power to

Well here’s the thing: These people don’t really have experience of black people being blatantly oppressed because there are no black people around them generally. They’re poor white people who have not had easy lives but also can’t really put themselves in the shoes of black people and think that their lives would be

A lot of people are very comfortable with the mental gymnastics necessary to vote for a blatantly racist candidate running on a blatantly hateful and racist platform while still considering themselves good people. Bonus points when they pretend they are just as much of a victim as those being directly oppressed.

You gotta account for the people too embarrassed to admit they’ll vote for him.

I’m honestly pretty impressed that only 50% of us white people will vote for the person who says the racism part out loud vs. the person who probably only thinks it most of the time.  I would have put it closer to 75% if you’d have asked me.

As another commenter implied, yecch to Hershey’s chocolate. It seems the obvious solution is to dip a naked Payday into a quality dark chocolate of your choice, which I am now eager to try. Does anyone know some efficient & nonmessy way this could be done?
