His criminal history is irrelevant. What IS relevant was the cop continuing to knee him down over a prolonged period of time preventing him from breathing, even after George clearly indicated as such, and while his colleagues stood by and did nothing.

I already have HBO, so it didn’t bother me too much.  But I was a little perplexed when my brand new streaming service launched with a section for movies that are leaving the brand new streaming service in a month.  Many of those were selling points for the brand new streaming service.

You know who has hands? The Devil. And he uses them to hold things.

I used to be a fan of the Beatles until they started singing songs about love and holding hands.  

I only know the food side of it, but I’ve hard a lot of the same problems exist on the journalism side. Like, getting a good job generally means you worked a lot of unpaid internships or horribly compensated spots to “build your resume” in a way that a lot of people just can’t afford to do.

When companies refer to employees as “team members” you can be sure that they are screwing them over. 

Do people know the history of that? Do they know that the U.S. Department of Defense started paying the NFL in the 1990s to broadcast the National Anthem before games because they were having trouble recruiting …?

We aren’t dumping taxpayer money on the NFL to pimp the military for nothing.

And folks on that side STILL ain’t talking about the fact that having a compulsory display of “patriotism” before a corporate professional sports exhibition is deeply weird?
