asking people out is pretty awkward. can't say I've ever dated much casually (or even been aware of when I've apparently been on dates, and just not realized it at the time). I'm generally the last to know, which is usually kinda useful, and I prefer it that way, tbh.

he'd have a pretty dapper outfit, to be fair.

Permanent Monday is excellent. I actually confused it with Garfield Minus Garfield somehow…

I'd say that a fair number of us don't see eye to eye with his views. some of his advice is beyond absurd and patently terrible / questionable in the extreme.

speaking from personal experience, having a massive crush on someone can lead to putting them on a pedestal of sorts. sometimes people find this flattering (usually only during the falling for each other phase, if it goes that route), but more often than not, it comes across as creepy.

he's been stalling on a lot of policies and doing a lot of hand-wringy bullshit.

yeah. the shite part as of late is that I was doing a damn good job of getting back into an exercise routine a few months back. going to the gym regularly, 3 - 5 days per week, and just feeling better. getting distracted by very half-assedly chasing skirts as futile escapism to deal with my hatred of Canadian winters

that's your answer right there. his bullshit does not traffic in validity.

I caught the supposedly climactic battle near the tail end of the movie when flipping channels at my buddy's place recently.

well, the only thing I can suggest with regards to that is maybe taking steps to positive change that you can control.

I assume vegan stuff (or things marketed to vegans or health food types) are insanely expensive to buy pre-made versus most anything else, so it brings out the inner terrible cook by virtue of necessity. maybe it's the same rough percentage.

it's like people don't know what chemicals are, or something…

I struggle with self-image and self-perception a fair amount, so I can kinda get the drift of where you're coming from.

some folks are willfully ignorant of this, though. better to err on the side of politeness than skew too far in the other direction?
