Exactly! I’ve had the same revelation. A lot of what I thought were laws were just policies because most people would be so ashamed for this type of info to be made public, they’d just resign. The Trumps, on the other hand, are like what? business as usual.

I think it’s time to revisit ethics laws.

Their seats are reasonably secure thanks to gerrymandering.

The theme I’m seeing is that a lot of this stuff isn’t illegal because we rely on the good faith of parties involved to fire people who have done something unethical. This is flawed considering what family is infesting the White House.

But isn’t intent alone a crime in certain cases? Like conspiracy? Is that applicable here?

I completely agree! I’m just afraid that their argument will fall back on “well sexuality isn’t immutable because my Bible says it’s a choice/phase.” And I’m not confident in the current SC breakdown.

Two points I’d like to add:

Christians already do it. Every time they hold a pro life march.

Race and religion are protected classes as per the Supreme Court, so no. Sexuality currently isn’t.

But he gets his voters’ votes by making them scared of black and brown people.
