The Buckley scissors are supposed to have “micro-serrated blades” to help keep the fabric from fraying. But the blades are rather short, even on the large version, so if you’re using scissors that small I’d assume you were working on small applique work which would indeed make the fray reduction an important aspect…

I will say the ones on the right look better made, especially in the tip area. That one has a nice super sharp tip and the one on the left looks dulled blunted in comparison.
