I’ve thought the same thing, I remember watching it in the 90s and thinking it was a pretty good anime but mostly nonsensical (like so many Japanese shows). At least the animation quality was among the best at that time.

See that proves my point even more, if the creature was drawn to any amount of blood then people all over the city should have been attacked. And, if it was going after El they should have portrayed that better throughout the show because it literally never tracked her at all unless she came to it.

I wasn’t really expecting anything going in but the first few episodes presented itself as a well written (and thought out) show. By the end I felt it just didn’t make enough sense and certainly didn’t explain anything.

I think that has to do with how it (the walking dead) can be as punishing to watch as it is enjoyable. Probably one of the healthiest choices you could make is to cut back on television, but there are a ton of good shows out there. Sadly I don’t think I would include this show in that list, it started strong but I was really disappointed by the end.
