Gonna have to agree with you here, I've been in a couple of the weekend betas (I might even be in the full beta if that's a thing) and after one weekend I haven't gone back.

It's been discussed before on Kotaku and other places, but I believe what ruined it for many people is the disconnect between the story and the game.

I hear ya, I got my wife to play with me and we got to max level after release. Unfortunately I dupped all the good weapons and we both had no reason to keep playing. I feel like I might be missing out on something with all this DLC but I just have no interest with all the other great games out.

Don't get me wrong, I am in no way saying AMD chips are bad chips just that they aren't on par with Intel. My last build I was able to get a triple core AMD chip for $70 that unlocked to a quad core and worked great for a short time. Unfortunately, My plan is always to make a rig that I can upgrade as they age and for

Awesome!! I couldn't believe how great Staples was to price match MC. It's an amazing feeling to get such a great deal on such an awesome chip.

That's what I thought all the benchmarks have been showing but I didn't want to stick my neck out there since I haven't actually used any of the more recent chips.

I think its more of a personal preference overall. I've always been of the mind that best deal I could get and still game on while still up-gradable was the way to go (keep in mind I have been on a very tight budget most of my life). For a time that ideology seemed to work but over the years I would see poor

Luck I guess. I follows some tips from a microcenter post on slickdeals.net and went to staples.com where I started an online chat with a staples rep who price matched the MC sale (even though it was in store only). Then someone on slickdeals informed me that there was a $30 coupon that staples might accept so I

Your welcome! I generally find all my questions answered with toms, Overclock.net (the people in the forums are mind mindbogglingly smart) , and Anandtech. But I have been known to utilize a google search from time to time and slum it on random tech sites. =O

Well when your looking at the difference in seconds its all kind of relative to begin with. That being said the disparity changes a bit with audio encoding so if he does audio/video there might be more of a difference in the long run. Go read browse through the rest of that article I linked and there are more

I have to agree with the others on the i7. Generally and i5 is more than enough for gaming but with video editing you need the extra power. You can look at some of the benchmarks that the guys at tomshardware got with their 4770k.
Tomshardware benchmarks

I have to agree with victorious here. While I don't have any experience with AMD's last couple generations of CPUs I did build 3 rigs using AMD's ery inexpensive chips and after throwing an i5 budget computer (<$500) together for a friend I was amazed at how much better it was than my AMD computers.
The Price is very

Often you can get a local store in your area to pricematch MC if it is posted online. I picked up the 4670K last week for $130 via staples.com with a price match and a rebate that they honored.

Horrible way to recommend the PX5

It worked for World of Goo (and I'm sure many others) why not for this game?

Let me futher explain. World of Goo had been a huge hit but it started off as a PC game first then was (years later I might add) ported to mobile platforms. I think it worked out really well for them. I imagine it's much easier to develop and

I don't really remember how long it took but I do remember that the story line was just ramping up when it ended. If I remember correctly the player just gets to a new zone right before the end. Maybe it was a balance issue for me, the first zone was longer than the last.

Another vote to say that Rage was awesome, just too waaaaay to short. Personally I loved the racing aspect of the game and actually made sure to get gold and update the cars as quickly as the game would let me.

Since Gurren Lagann, has been mentioned quite a few times maybe someone can do a quick explanation for me. I started watching the show when it first came out and found it rather enjoyable but lost track of it after a while. When I came back to the show the timeline had changed and it was in the future with the main

If it plays anything like Battlefield then this should be a stellar game.

I know there are around 50 different ways that people reflow the old 360s and I think it might be time for me to try another technique because mine keeps failing after a few days. Maybe I just got a lemon, I think it lasted a few years before it eventually failed the first time.
