I mean, that’s a nice thing to do. But I’m the father of a six-year-old and a three-year-old, and if a group of adult fans next to us caught a ball, I would have zero expectation that they give it to my kids.

Big surprise.
I get so pissed off on Master’s Sunday that coverage starts at like 3pm. I don’t care if the 1030 a.m. tee timers can’t win, broadcast it anyway! What is the downside of sticking it on ESPN2 or Golf Channel or CBS Sports or whatever the f.
Usually it’s tough to find straight girlfriends at LPGA events.
Yes, but they also inflict Joe Buck on us.
FWIW, Faxon made it sound like they just started dating, so regardless of how into her he is, celebration for a golf accomplishment is still gonna be cold ones with the boys.
Counterpoint: Joe Buck.
(...is the fucking worst)
Their most impressive accomplishment was keeping Darren Clarke sober & interested for the broadcast. It was a whole new side of him that we’ve never seen before.
Faxon and Zinger are actually pretty good. However, they do a poor job of on course announcing and do they not have announcers in individual towers at certain holes like NBC/CBS? It didn’t appear so.
I like the technology, especially the ball tracker since I bet 90% of their viewership is old and can’t see well. My dad watches golf on TV every week and his biggest complaint is seeing the ball. I do wish they’d use the drive stat tracker more often, showing the club speed, ball speed, and carry distance. It’s damn…
The LPGA can empathize with the difficulty of keeping golfers straight
“bringing to a merciful end Fox’s awful efforts at airing golf—for the weekend,”
It’a not necessarily that Fox sucks at broadcasting golf, it’s that Joe “I want to f*** my own voice” Buck sucks at broadcasting golf.
Are any of us surprised that Fox thinks anodyne white girls are all interchangeable?
For me it’s just Joe Buck. Golf has lots of pseudo down time and he has no stories or knowledge base to fill the gap and just ends up repeating himself over and over and over and over.
How about the Ringo Starr crack...WTF?
Fox screw me out of good Le Mans coverage for this crap? Ugh.
Fox was its regular barrel of shit, but can we talk about this course for a minute? Was this the U.S. Open or the Shell Houston Open? These scores are not what you expect for this tournament. The weekend was pretty craptastic if you ask me
“That’s actually his new girlfriend Jim. They were all standing together this week for a Fox promo photo you fucking nimrod”
Yeah, he gave her a little peck, then brushed her aside so he could bear hug his bros.
