DVB-S is Satellite :) I got it because I couldn't get DVB-T in my area in the UK and there are no DVB-C cards for cable

I didn't give up so to speak, it was just not enough for my needs, one PCI slot for a DVB-S tuner just isn't enough (especially when you don't get a loopback and need a 2nd LNB and card for watch/record) when all it is there to do is watch/record tv

In a box, not doing much at the minute, thinking about making a mini hosting platform with it

I was going to comment on the poor grammar and the fact that the optimal angle looks close to the optimal "personal time" angle but your comment was much less crude

Your examples are flawed. I said getting insurance to pay out on your negligence. Adding your step of a second level of responsibility is just making your argument nonsensical.

I don't agree with the Java/.net/mono (purely because there are times when they are required) however most of what you have said falls under sloppy coding or poor ui choices

Not quite, it is if you try to get your insurance to pay out on your ignorance that it wasn't your fault you forgot to lock your car. Not taking adequate preventative measures isn't a defence
