Oh, I so wanted Agar Agar Assohole to be sent packing, but I sort of knew that gal was going home for serving rare veal.

I wouldn't be too sure. I saw petroleum sauce guy on Chopped a few years ago, and I think he did pretty well. I think he just way over-thought his dish. He needs to edit himself. I think he will last a while, but he's going to be at a big disadvantage in challenges where a more formal sort of meal is called for,

Hey, come on, don't underestimate him, he could be both a giant ass AND really dumb.

He doesn't bother me that much. I'd prefer Hugh being a full time judge, but perhaps he was too busy to do so. I know he recently opened a new restaurant in Savannah…I ate there in July. Tasty.

I'm shocked they didn't send that lady packing for making broccoli salad. That must have been one really terrible corn soup.

Good point. That would make throwing an early elimination challenge an actual viable strategy for a short cut to the finale.

Not many commenters…is anyone watching this season? I wonder if there is going to be a last chance kitchen this time around. I think it is a nice way to give a contestant who has an off night one last chance. I do like the way they tweaked it with The Knockout, on Duels, where you have to win once for a chance

That boy, he's always been good with his hands.

Get used to it, in the previews for the rest of the season, the two headed chick sings a Fiona Apple tune. That sort of nuttiness I think actually adds to the show. I mean none of us are watching AHS for historical accuracy right?

Well, actually, setting aside the morality of carrying out these sorts of ops, I think what you want from the person in charge of ordering attacks on targets where there is bound to be at least some innocent victims, is a cold detachment, and Carrie displayed that in spades…so yes, in that regard, she was really good

What a profound waste of time.

So getting down in to the Master's lair was sort of a long slog around a bunch of nesting vampires…the return out, no problem. Let's not even show it. It happened after sunset when the vamps would be active. How the hell did they get out of there was all I was wondering for the first 15 minutes.

My wife was pretty much screaming at the TV screen, "Why don't they just block the entrance to the tunnel with a light?!"

Pretty terrible episode all around. Also I recently got a new HDTV, that has such spectacular resolution, that the Master's makeup looked about up to par with something you'd see at a high school production of Nosferatu.

Well, like I said, they both reversed themselves, and ended up giving the film an enthusiastic recommendation.

I thought they both gave it a thumbs down…I don't think they would have revisited it the next week if Roger had liked it, instead he would have just given Gene more shit about it. Of course it was 22 years ago, so my memory may be failing me.

"I don't deserve this…I don't deserve to die like this."
"Deserves got nothing to do with it."

I'm not sure. I watched that show every week when I was in my 20's and I saw both episodes.

It's almost October, time for GBV to break up again.

When that movie was released, Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert, both gave it a big thumbs down during their At The Movies. A week or two later they dedicated a huge portion of their show to revisiting the film and admitting they had badly botched their first reviews.
