Thinking about it, the best way to fuck up a dramedy about a family of classic movie monsters living in suburbia would be to call it The Munsters.

Start by making them funny.

Dead Like Me had more than its fair share of dirty and weird, at least by implication. The character Mason was wacked a lot of the time. And the cold opening kills were pretty awesome, and made Six Feet Under look about as edgy as a kitten farm.

"Herman Munster just looks stupid in green."

Yeah, obviously title change equals complete fuckup.

It will last half a season, then we Fuller fans will buy the boxset and weep salty tears of "what if".

Swasti-kat? That sounds so cute! NOW I want to see this.

Our DVDs are so relaxed
They spin at their own pace
And if you try to hurry them
They punch you in the face
Oi!

The real problem is girls encroaching on boys' names. They took Vivian and Carol, then Everett and Cameron. How long till they take Jimmy and Steve away from us??? We are running out of names@!!!!

Someone throws a bunch of fridge magnets to see how many will stick.

The Shining fails only if you think Real Art has to include bullshit social commentary to count as art.

That'll do, Stieg, that'll do.

El Crab, you are a terrible terrible person. I LOL'd.

Yeah, those other wealthy white people are stupid, but ME, I know the score.

At least Sky Captain was pretty to look at.

Alien 3 Extended has some good extra bits but is overall worse, and less coherent. Probably the worst bit is the scene in the kitchen: expository dialog, expository dialog, expository dialog, expository dialog, lame alien birthing effect. There's a better version of this movie yet to be edited into life.

Fuck. I just googled that and was surprised that (a) it's a real thing, and (b) it's a controversy. Because Salander was a rape survivor THEREFORE selling clothes themed to her character is condoning rape.

Anyone who disagrees with you is a contrarian, logically.

Fincher is a great stylist, but what does he bring to his films THEMATICALLY that wasn't in the written-by-someone-else scripts? It takes more than style to be a capital-G Great director.
