Weird, I read that opinion a lot, but I think it took a couple of seasons for the rest of the cast to get up near the high standard set by Johnny C right out of the gate. Plus the side characters got more interesting. Curiously, the Todd got funnier and funnier even though the guy couldn't act.

What Juanito said. I was surprised by how involving the fantasy fight sequences were, actually - except the train heist sequence, which was unfortunately the one that had the most emotional content riding on it. That was the real weak point of the film.
