ff6 and chrono trigger are my first jrpgs. made me fall in love with jrpgs, square, ff. the prob with ff6 hd remake at a glance is the characters are flat. 2d. if you compare the pixelated one, colours are high contrast, things pop out.
i cant bring myself to play the game. its over hyped. the first “mission” has you blowing a place up just because you’re told that they’re evil, we don’t see how evil it is but we’re supposed to just trust the narrative. i also dont like cloud as a super emo character who doesnt like socializing. once this mission is…
technically i dont own a console. i bought the xboxone for dance central and play only that one game on it. if it was ported to the pc, i’d sell off my xboxone in a heartbeat
multiplayer only for 60$? i m out. but i do believe people will keep buying and playing regardless. look at WoW, 60$ for base game and a subscription system, expansions which require additional purchase but still people go for it.
either way it boils down to the players. for me, 60$ no thanks!
totally agree with “fallout 4 is a good game, but not a fallout game”. sigh, i miss interplay
blablabla preorder is bad blablabla boycott. blablablabla buys anyway.
tldr: lotsa shots, props and photoshops
i bought fo3+new vegas but could never play it. fo has always been turn based isometric for me. i love rpgs and not fps, fo3 merged the two and i no longer care for it. one main distinction about turn based is seeing how things play out, the anxiety of seeing enemies taking their turn. the thrill of having tons of…
technically it doesn’t matter. it’s like the person who created gifs saying its should be pronounced jiff, everyone calls it Gif (as in gift) anyway. they can rebrand it however they want but it wont work. BUT, i will say the game is good enough that it can attract “casuals”
HoTS
i can understand the frustration but it is f2p. snk games occassionally have “screen blocking” ads with tiny “close ad” buttons which sometimes you swear you tapped properly but end up opening the ad.
its like facebook stopped being free and deleted all your friends/posts.
i m not good a quake but i used to enjoy it. i was an ID fanboy and there was a time i whole heartedly believed that ID could do no wrong. i do understand the need to have payment for keeping servers up and etc, but if you make a f2p game p2p at a drop of the hat and remove tons of data while you’re at it, you’re…
i’m wearing black now because it is my family traditional garment colour, my friend over there is wearing blue because he is a descendant of fishermen royalty. that random guy over there is wearing a v-neck because it is a social custom for people of his profession to wear it. list goes on.
diablo 3 seems to be such an outdated game with it’s 1990’s graphics, the player cannot run and the cutscenes are worst than many in game graphics you can find nowadays. it only provides 3 classes and no companions through the game unless you invest in magic to get a golem. if you like classical retro games you may…
exaggerated comparisons. but still valid comparisons. it’s like if street fighter suddenly decided that it wanted to add gore and fatalities. you could technically say that its still the same game with the same mechanics, but the game’s spirit is lost in the process
fallout is no longer an isometric turn based rpg (fallout boy sad face with a slouch). but wait there’s more! warcraft is no longer an RTS, its an MMO, silent hill is no longer survival horror, its a slot machine. resident evil is no longer survival horror, its a third person action game. monster hunter no longer…
as a neckbeard living with my parents, i need to use silent keyboards. playing d3 is enough to get “advised about the time”, i havent even begun with djmax technika
“to super fans”, i m guessing most people arent. he’s just stating what super fans felt of the prequels. to me, i like star wars and the prequels weren’t “that bad” BUT not memorable at all didn’t even feel like watching a second time.
