Marginalizing Daisy Ridley is totally on brand for Disney.

You’re doing great .
Having watched the clip and taken Stewart’s advice, I object(!) that he laughed at MTG ranting at Anthony Fauci about Covid being a lab leak when Stewart also claimed Covid was a lab leak in June of 2021 on Colbert’s show.
I don’t know why anyone would clamour to be in the RNR Hall Of Fame. Any voting body that would honor Eric Clapton three times and The Slits zero times seems like a complete waste of time. What’s the value of being placed among a group of loudly lauded mediocrity? It’s validation that music is popular enough to be…
When the Go-Go’s released their documentary, they used the press as a platform to get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Sheryl Crow flat out stated that she agreed to a documentary so she too would have a better shot at getting into the Hall of Fame (she did BTW)
It’s very chicken-egg to me, in the sense that the Black Keys are known and long-lived enough that you could fill an arena off $30 tickets, but not $200 ones.

But the box office has been rebounding. The proof is in box office revenue.
Nobody has any money to spare because we spend it all on rent and maybe groceries if we’ve anything left over. And nobody has any free time, because we’re spending it all working to pay for rent and maybe some groceries, and maybe getting four or five hours sleep if we’re lucky.
I realized that I might not be fully awake yet when I saw the header image and thought, “Why does this scene from Life of Brian look so weird?”
I don’t even care if it’s “good” or not. I think I’d be delighted to see any rendition of Trump’s shitty, unhinged behavior out there for all to see, especially knowing that he’s having a fit watching it too.
I love how he’s never gotten over the accusation that he didn’t win fairly in 2016, that there was election interference. So now he just throws that accusation out there.
The reference to that nuts stunt of automatically pushing the album onto all iTunes users is something I completely forgot about. A quick look on Wikipedia shows that album came out in 2014, but I could have sworn it was earlier.
I have no idea if this movie will be any good. From the trailer, it looks like another legacyquel bashing viewers over the head with nostalgia. But unlike most legasequels, it looks like they both brought a lot of people back and those people have the same energy, including Murphy. So I’m tentatively looking forward…
As Dr Lizardo said elsewhere, most rich people don’t want to be famous. They want to just sit there and amass wealth/influence.
The ragebait seems to be receding, and I’ve definitely observed an uptick in actual pop culture journalism since the sale. I’m guardedly optimistic, against my better judgment.
Not sure if I can stomach watching a movie about Trump while I’m bombarded daily with his hideous face, voice and thoughts. Still appreciate that it exists and will maybe give it a shot once the guy is finally dead. Which might take another 20 years since evil bastards always seem to be immortal.
Think of it as another look at Roy Cohn, then, who was basically a fucking demon in human skin.
I’ll watch it for Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn because that sounds fantastic.
