Or they’d help out when the kids are actually born.

I mean you can go and leave a negative review, and make it clear why you’re leaving a bad review.

I got a Pi for Christmas one year, and when I looked up what I could do with it, I found I could turn it into a retro console. I’ve literally never made a single comment about the Raspberry Pi before today. I don’t think you know what Stan means.

I played most 8-bit, 16-bit era games on the original hardware, which I still own, and emulation is good enough for a quick fix. Thanks for replying like a normal human being. I had no idea so many people were so passionate about playing perfect recreations of games they mostly likely pirated. Software emulation works

What does this do that a Raspberry Pi doesn’t do for a fraction of the cost?

Don’t give them ideas!

Thanks for the recommendation. I will check it out.

Here’s an article that summarizes the video: https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/report-alleges-auction-and-grading-fraud-is-behind-recent-surge-in-retro-game-prices/amp/

That copy of Mario 64 was “allegedly” graded, auctioned, and bought by the same group of people to drive up the price of video games as collectibles. This guy does a pretty thorough deep dive:

I’ve only seen Ghostbusters 2 a total of 3 times, but I’ve seen the first one too many times to count. I agree with your assessment of the last one, I can’t remember anything about it either, but it was decently made, just not nearly as funny as the first movie, too much CGI, and a really forgettable villain.

Seems like this whole thing is a scam. This guy shows how the people grading, selling, and buying these overpriced games are the same people:

It’s a pretty obscure reference. I doubt most people who’ve only seen the movie once or twice, regardless of their age, would remember a line from a movie release over 30 years ago. In fact, people under 40 would be more likely to remember it as they would have seen the movie more recently. Also, the last one was

I don’t remember, but your reply made me laugh, so you’re already one up on the internet TV guy with the dumb hat.

Back in my day, jokes were supposed to be funny.

That was the first thing I thought of when I read this news. I had to send my save file (PC version) to a friend back in the day so they could pass them for me.

Yeah, I follow Animal Crossing, and the fans are chomping at the bit for new content. A lot of them would even be willing to pay. Even if  it’s only a fraction of the purchase base, that’s still a lot of profit Nintendo is leaving on the table. Hell, I would pay for more content.

That was maybe true a few years ago, but right now it’s really difficult to hire programmers unless you’re willing to settle for interns or pay higher than average salaries, and even then there’s not a lot of supply.

Right, lest we forget he once announced that the internet was fad and officially over.

It’s the kind of statement that will ensure no right-thinking person would ever want to support this Activision/Blizzard going forward. Truly baffling. Are they hoping to get FOX viewers to sign up for WoW to fill in the void? I don’t understand.

It was constantly in the top ten ranking in the Netflix app (so no actual numbers). A writer from Forbes speculated than fans were just putting the show on and letting it play for 24/7 to drive up the viewership numbers.
